When there is only one...
Original abstract artworks by Andrew Michael Nathan, shown by collection.

Under light
Some canvases hold a second painting.
Ordinary light shows the first. Blacklight wakes the second. Same canvas, same hand, different physics.

Surface up close
Mirror, glass, velvet and pigment, at close range.
Each collection follows its own material idea. These windows magnify the surface of four works.

Glow
9 works
Acrylic pours and mirror tile carrying UV-reactive pigment. Each canvas is resolved twice, once for daylight and once for blacklight, and the two readings never fully agree.

Reflection
6 works
Mirror tile set into worked acrylic ground. The surface borrows the room's light and the viewer's position, so no single angle is the finished picture.

Pride
3 works
Rainbow drips, circles, and prisms over gold and metallic ground. Color as a statement of presence, painted to be read from across a room.

Textures
2 works
Acrylic, gel medium, crushed glass, and found texture built up until the surface itself carries the image. Read it up close, where the relief shows.
Enter the collection: Textures - 05 / 07
Velvet
4 works
Poured and combed acrylic finished matte, with a soft, velvet surface. Cells, swirls, stencils, and currents of pigment, with no gloss between you and the color.

Red White & Blue
1 work
Red, white, and blue poured, combed, and stippled until the three colors stop reading as a flag and start reading as paint.

Acrylic Abstract
36 works
Poured and combed acrylic on canvas. Cells, spirals, feathered lines, and currents of pigment, fixed at the moment the flow stopped.
